“Thank you for creating an environment of enthusiasm for learning, appreciation for growing and room for making mistakes along the way.
I am grateful for everything you have done for me, since I first came through the door. You have and will continue to be a great influence on me”.

Building on the developmental support our Zebra room provides, the layout of our Giraffe room enables the children to take a step further into actively exploring their environment and encourages their growing independence. The children are able to move freely between activities and as their confidence grows, begin to make choices for themselves.

These choices will always include the following and throughout the day these will be changed and varied to keep the children’s interest:

  • Role Play Area –
which could be a home, a bears cave, an underwater world or a firefighters station! Anything you want it to be…
  • Sand & Water Trays
  • Story Corner –
for group time and a quiet space to share a book with a few close friends
  • Construction space –
for building with Lego, Duplo, wooden bricks
  • Painting, sticking, cutting & junk modelling

To support the children’s concentration we incorporate Music and Rhyme time into our daily routines. We understand that through music we can help children to appreciate words in different forms, therefore we encourage strong foundations for later learning to read.

A distinct routine throughout each day ensures a perfect balance between structured and free time play.
